Water Cycle
We are learning about how the sun affects the earth.

- Explain how drought affects living things and our planet.
My Reading Pathway

I am pointing to where I am on the room 17 reading pathway.
I am currently reading at red.
I am working on the following:
- I know the sounds in the word.
- I know the letter sounds and some word endings.
- I can take a breath at a full stop and find the speech marks and question marks.
- I can read quickly, and make it sound like talking.
- I can keep looking at the words all the way to the end.
- I am starting to notice if I say the wrong word and I know to re-read the sentence.

Garden to table programme
Hunter is getting to practice some fine motor skills as he separates the garlic cloves ready for planting.
Topic: Habitat
We are learning to make a habitat for a compost worm.
On our field trip we learned to importance of food, shelter, water and stopping sunlight from going into our compost worms habitats.
Hunter is turning over soil looking for earthworms.
Reading
I am learning to find words that I know before I start reading.
Scanning the page for these words helps us to self correct our reading

Alphabet
I am learning to identify the alphabet names of the letters in my name.
I am successful when I match up letters and say the names of the letter.
